Reviews for THE 1997 COFFEE
Review highlights
Based on 124 reviewsTHE 1997 COFFEE is praised for its inviting ambiance and well-prepared food, with particular acclaim for dishes like chicken chop and buttermilk pasta. Customers appreciate the generous portion sizes and reasonable pricing. However, some feedback highlights inconsistencies in flavor, especially regarding the spiciness and sweetness balance in certain pasta dishes and the matcha beverage being milder than expected. Service quality receives mixed reviews, noting overall efficiency but occasional lapses in attentiveness and communication. Despite these minor drawbacks, THE 1997 COFFEE remains a favored spot for casual hangouts and family visits, valued for its comfortable atmosphere and satisfying meal options.
recent visit, everything went quite well.. Yet, there were a few points worth mentioning. The male cashier seemed very shy and almost mumbled. I had to ask him to repeat himself several times because I couldn’t catch what he said the first or even second time. Server could have paid more attention to the children nearby. She /He held a hot bowl of mushroom soup, bringing it very close to my son's ear. It could have been dangerous if there had been even a slight slip. Now, on to the food and drinks. I ordered the Strawberry Lassi and Chocolate Blended, very excellent. The Strawberry Lassi, in particular, was creamy, refreshing, and absolutely to my liking. We also had the Creamy Tomyam Pasta and Chicken Curry Pasta. Both were rich in flavor, but the chicken used in the pasta was a letdown. It was dry, bland on its own, and didn’t absorb the tomyam or curry taste at all. Highly suggest replacing it with breaded fried chicken for a better overall experience. The Bowlogchos presentation was disappointing. It was served in a paper tray, not the proper dishware, cheese and Bolognese topping were also not as generous than expected, as shown in other reviews. Lastly, we tried the Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread. The soup was a little runny but still tasted good and comforting. All in all, my visit was pleasant. The service was fast, and I’ll definitely come again to try other menu items.
The vibes was nice, cool place to hangout. The matcha latte was top notch, buttermilk pasta creamy and the chicken was crispy and not dry. Can request for a bit spicy but children will like the buttermilk pasta.
All the foods were good and their chicken chop is a must try. Service was top notch and fast. Price is set right.
ordered two menu which is spicy buttermilk chicken with rice n creamy tomyam pasta. spicy buttermilk is not spicy and the buttermilk sauce leans on the sweet side but fried chicken on the other hands is good and portion wise it’s okay with the price. creamy tomyam pasta, portion wise is a lot but the tomyam taste almost little to none and the pasta sauce is sweet.. kinda disappointed because its good but too sweet but please revamp your menu and add some additional seasonings to avoid from your food being sweet. get free iced water and order a cup of yuri matcha and its good. all in all price are affordable for cafe food! service from your staff is very great. hopefully can improve on food taste
Definitely love their pasta! Personally, I found the matcha a bit bland and was hoping for a stronger taste considering the price . But still a lovely spot overall
Went in after a friend’s recommendation and I have to admit it that it is worth trying. All the dishes we tried was tasty. Tomyam pasta was creamy and savoury but it would’ve been better if it was spicy. The buttermilk pasta was delicious as well and the crunchy chicken bites made it more delicious.. The chicken cho was crispy and the sauce was nice.. My personal favourite was the fries- the spicy powder on top of it was delicious!

A great cafe that not only serves good drinks but also good foods! Reasonable price for the good quality of food. Really loves how they describe each of their drinks on the menu. I tried their Ichikawa matcha and also chicky chop. Both were great! I usually go for strawberry matcha but found a new favorite after tried their Ichikawa matcha.
